Love Duett: Isolde~~~
)
Reiner/Flagstad/Melchior 1936
)
像是 rec.music.classical.recordings
In article <Xns9364E0AC465tiger131...@202.183.255.6>, "tiger_131074" says...
>After a google search, the usual argument against the Karajan, Vickers,
>Dernesch 1970-72 EMI set is that it is "older Karajan" rarely matching his
>'52 standard. The results are an assortment of lashings of the BPO,
>presenting disjointed Tristan with no steady line.
>I have it offered at half price. Is it really that bad? Are there no merits
>to it at all? Are there better budget copies out there? This will not be my
>first.
I understand why some/many/most don't care for it, but it's easily my favorite
studio recording of the piece, partly because I find the love duet sequence more
beautifully realized than any I've heard (the weird sound helps), partly because
I actually like all of the principals. I probably prefer, say, Boehm's more
exciting conducting in the live performance on DG, but I can't stand Nilsson and
Windgassen, so....
Simon
Gesamtkunstwerk
