當年Tahra為Monteux出版的一套CD，
最近已經再版，不過原本4CD被拆散分別出版，
先登場的是布拉姆斯交響曲1/3和小提琴協奏曲，
後者由Milstein主奏錄於1950年，
此外還有日本人號稱「史上最強的悲劇序曲」，
我不太懂是只這個錄音強？還是悲劇序曲強？
總之這個演出的再版對老錄音迷還是個好消息。

Monteux在BBC的布拉姆斯第三（BBCL4058-2）肯定不是最受矚目的出版，會買這張CD的人恐怕不多，但企鵝確有不錯的評價，現在原文轉貼給各位瞧瞧：
Monteux's musical schooling was in Mozart,Beethoven and Brahms,and they were his first love.As a young man Monteux had played viola in Geloso Quartet,performing among other things Grieg's quartet for the composer himself.The Geloso also played one of the Brahms quartets at a concert which the composer himself attended.Aferwards Brahms told them.'It takes the French to play my music properly.The Germans all play it much too heavily.' This comment bears fruit in a performance that is beautifully played,admirably shaped and full of vigour.
